1. Constantly update your Anti Virus Program. Preferably use an Anti Virus Program with an automatic updating facility. It takes away the grief of having to remember to do it manually.
2. Check your email morning and evenings.
3. Always reply promptly to email enquiries.
4. Clearly state your cancellation policy on all communications.
5. Eliminate No Shows - Secure all bookings with a deposit.
6. If private parking is available take registration numbers of all guest vehicles- Mr. & Mrs. Smith might do for a B&B but not a car rental company.
7. "Last Breakfast" and "Room to be vacated by" times should be clearly displayed. Discourage "sleepers" by stating an hourly surcharge.
8. Vouchers should always be examined on arrival.
9. Always enquire where your guests got your name from. Its very important to know what advertising is paying off for you.
10. Don't use an email auto responder stating that you are "Away on Holidays". It's difficult enough to keep your premises secure without advertising to the world when it's vacant.
