TIPS
- Constantly update your Anti Virus Program. Preferably use an
Anti Virus Program with an automatic updating facility. It takes
away
the grief of having to remember to do it manually.
- Check your email morning and evenings.
- Always reply promptly to email enquiries.
- Clearly state your cancellation policy on all communications.
- Eliminate No Shows - Secure all bookings with a deposit.
- If private parking is available take registration numbers of
all guest vehicles- Mr. & Mrs. Smith might do for a B&B
but not a car rental company.
- "Last Breakfast" and "Room to be vacated by" times
should be clearly displayed. Discourage "sleepers" by
stating an hourly surcharge.
- Vouchers should always be examined on arrival.
- Always enquire where your guests got your name from. Its very
important to know what advertising is paying off for you.
- Don't use an email auto responder stating that you are "Away
on Holidays". It's difficult enough to keep your premises
secure without advertising to the world when it's vacant.
